Haolu is a London-based Chinese writer / director currently pursuing an MA in Directing Fiction at the National Film and Television School of UK.
Intrigued by the nature of human emotions – the good, the bad and the ugly, she tries to explore this infinite topic through her work.
She has written and directed drama shorts “Emma”, “Flip Flops” and “Being James” which showed at major festivals around the world, including the Oscar-qualifying festival Short Shorts Film Festival in Tokyo and European Film Awards-qualifying festival Drama Short Film Festival in Greece. Her work has been featured on cable network in the US and Japan through national distributors.
She has worked as a screenwriter on Chinese commercial features which gained wide theatrical release.
