Haolu is a London/Paris-based Chinese filmmaker with a current focus on producing shorts and developing her debut feature. 

She mostly writes and directs, but also has experience in editing and camerawork. Her primary concentration is fiction with some experience in documentary. Her works have shown in festivals in Europe and Asia.

At the moment, she is intrigued by the nature of human emotions – the good, the bad and the ugly. Her work tries to explore this topic. 

Currently in collaboration with the Paris-based film production company Quat’sous Films.

Available for services including video shooting and editing, commercial and artistic photography. 

Previously educated at the London Film School and Prague Film School in Film Direction.

One evening in London, James is sitting on the tube back home as usual. Being James seems easy until he notices a woman across the aisle watching him…Curiously he follows her down the train on an impulse. During the intriguing encounter, James delves into a deep well of memories…and emotions.

A short film shot on the London Underground at zero budget.
